Random Musings:
Lighten up, seriousness is a disease. Love and laughter comes as naturally as life, thus the adage 'Love, laugh, live'.
Do things with grace and a sense of ease and find joy in the journey not the end result. We can choose to learn through joy or we can learn through pain; why choose the hard way. Striking the balance between overdoing it and doing nothing and you will find somehow you'll manage to do it all.
Getting inspired is easy, staying inspired takes work. It is important to keep inspiration sustained from within, to keep the inner fire stoked and roaring so we stand a chance at warming the hearts and touching the lives of others.
Judge not lest ye be judged. We leak precious life energy when we pass judgments and criticism of others or ourselves. You be the judge of this experiment: each time you are about to indulge in a judgment of any sort, don't. Repeat for a whole day and see if you are left with more energy at day's end.
The question often boils down to, not what we want, but who we want to be? This can sometimes be a tough decision but the easiest thing about a tough decision is that the toughest part is making it, just as many times the toughest part about working out is just getting to the gym. To think of it a different way: winning an argument can sometimes make us lose the war or worse, the relationship. The next time you want to be right, realize that it comes at the cost of the other person being wrong.

Life as a paradox
Dada ('grandfather' in Urdu) told me that courage is built up first by being courageous and that we only trust ourselves through the act and practice of trusting – a real paradox. Life is a paradox so that we can learn to live without leading with intellectual, head sense alone. If life only had to make intellectual, head sense, we wouldn’t have any use for the heart or gut. Grim!
The Key: it is when the heart is in line with the gut is in line with the head that true alignment takes place and things come together in a way that makes sense. Align head, heart and gut, and witness how things that seemed chaotic all of a sudden make sense on a different level and click into place. This is chaos theory in action - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaos_theory.
Courage is not defined as the absence of fear, in fact courage needs fear in order to be present. Courage can only come forth when we do the very thing that sparked the fear and if we walk with the fear, go through the fear and do the very thing we fear. It is in that very moment that we become courageous.
Trust is the fruit of faith. Surrendering is faith in action. It is when we dare to fall backward into the arms of faith, that we begin to trust in the process. Go out there and do the very thing you are fearful of. Practice falling backward into the unknown. Trust will come and courage will get stronger.
I read an article about a man who was very successful in life and rich in every sense of the word. He gave away his home to follow his faith. While I am not suggesting we go that far, it is a good demonstration of ‘trust’ and faith. Here is what he said regarding his experience:
'I began to find that when you really start to live your life on purpose and less focused on yourself, your own ego, and outcome, or on how things are going to show up, you begin to live your life from a very knowing place within you; that’s the only way I can describe it. You get all the help you need, all the assistance, all the guidance, the right people, finances; everything just starts to show up. I started to really trust in that.'

Clear channel of belief
To see dreams and ideas come alive, we must choose to BELIEVE in them with 100% of us and infuse that belief into each cell, consistently. Doubt serves as a cleaver, disconnecting belief and faith and serves to unravel dreams.
If we think we believe in something but our words, actions, thoughts and feelings don't reflect that belief, there will be a disconnect somewhere along the belief system. That disconnect over a matter of time will be reflected back to us and manifests itself as dis-ease, dissatisfaction, anxiety, angst, numbness or any number of symptoms.
On the flip side, doubt can serve as an opportunity to strengthen our belief. Past, present and future are all said to be memories. This is helpful when thinking about the concept of realizing dreams. We can bring dreams into fruition by believing in in them as a reality in the here and now. We are in the land of 'already done' but we often lose sight of that when we see through the eyes of intellect alone, choosing not to believe in the knowing, intelligence and wisdom that lies in our hearts and gut.

If ever we think the problem is 'out there', as Stephen Covey says 'that thought itself is the problem'. If this is hitting home for you, shine the light of belief and knowing onto your dream. Erase doubt and replace it with 100% conviction, consistently.
Note - the dream you wish to realize needs to be inline with truth and ring true to the essence of who you truly are and what you stand for. If you don't know what that is, then you have found your starting point. Oh and expect fear, insecurities and vulnerabilities to come up along this journey into your dreams. I wish someone told me to expect a lot of that. It is only natural that they rear their heads when our vulnerable inner truth attempts to break free and grow. Strengthen your resolve to know your truth more deeply in your mind, body and soul I promise you it is worth it. You have everything to lose by not trying.
